Marnie-4616.jpg

Marnie is an award-winning journalist, thought leadership specialist, and communications expert with over 10 years of experience writing for media outlets, companies, and individuals. As a media consultant, she amplifies underrepresented voices through persuasive storytelling and memorable messaging.

Marnie is a contributing editor for HealthyWomen and a columnist for She Knows. Her other bylines include TIME, Washington Post, LA Weekly, Los Angeles Review of Books, Yahoo, Health, CSQ, Ravishly, HelloGiggles, and The Rumpus. She has written over forty profiles on changemakers, including Naomi Watts, Rosanna Arquette, Rose McGowan, Brittany Kaiser, and women moving the needle in STEM and the metaverse at Facebook, Microsoft, Logitech, Amazon, Tile, and Mythical Games.

She honed her developmental editing skills as a creative nonfiction editor at Angels Flight • Literary West and The Nervous Breakdown's essays editor. Her content creation and design work includes projects for Macy’s, MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art), Spark Networks, Universal Music, Sony Music, the Alexis Arquette Family Foundation, Madame Lemy, and many others. She has over a decade of hands-on experience managing social media accounts, securing brand partnerships, and designing websites and online graphics.

Marnie is also a ghostwriter of TED talks, speeches, essays, and op-eds for activists and thought leaders spearheading the MeToo movement, environmental issues, sex trafficking, the homeless, and philanthropy. She is available for one-on-one coaching and teaches workshops on personal essays, writing through trauma, and writing and the body. Her clients’ work has been featured in the New York Times, Elle, Glamour, Los Angeles Times, InStyle, and many others.

After living in Los Angeles for over a decade, Marnie moved to Connecticut with her bullpei rescue, Dempsey. You'll find her playing tennis, volunteering, baking three-layer cakes, and talking to deer in her spare time.
